Stars trade Dumba to Penguins — The Fourth Period

The Dallas Stars have traded defenceman Matt Dumba and a 2028 second-round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for defenceman Vladislav Kolyachonok.

Dumba, 30, is in the final year of his contract and has a $3.75 million salary cap hit.

In 63 games with the Stars this past season, Dumba tallied one goal and nine assists for 10 points, along with 60 penalty minutes.
