Homeland Security reports ICE officers are being doxxed, threatened in Portland

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are experiencing a dramatic spike in assaults, according to a memo sent by U.S. Homeland Security on Friday.

The memo states extremist groups are targeting ICE personnel and their families through coordinated doxing efforts and public threats.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blamed anarchist and Antifa-affiliated groups, including Portland-based “Rose City Counter-Info” and another called “The Crustian Daily,” for publishing the personal information of federal officers online. The data reportedly includes officers’ names, photos, home addresses, and in some cases, details about their spouses and children.

“These criminals are taking the side of vicious cartels and human traffickers,” said Secretary Noem. “We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law.”

The department warned that such exposure places officers and their families at grave risk, particularly from violent gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, which DHS claims may exploit leaked information to target federal agents.

On July 1, 2025, DHS told Fox News that assaults against ICE/federal agents are up nearly 700% compared to the same period last year.

The data provided by DHS showed 10 assaults between Jan. 21, 2024 and June 20, 2024. Between Jan. 21, 2025 and June 30, 2025 there were 79 reported assaults. That’s an increase of 690%.

In Portland, fliers have reportedly been found in neighborhoods with photos of ICE officers, accompanied by slogans such as “NO PEACE FOR ICE.” Graffiti outside a federal facility reportedly includes the phrase “Kill Your Masters,” while officials say that others have trespassed on ICE agents’ property and left trash or direct threats.

The ICE facility in Portland has also been the site of isolated protests in recent weeks, according to the DHS statement. The department alleges that rioters have attacked law enforcement staff, vandalized federal property, and posted death threats outside the building.

The tension isn’t isolated to Oregon. Over the July 4 weekend, DHS reports a gunman opened fire on border patrol agents in Texas, leaving two agents hurt.

Noem also criticized local political leaders and sanctuary city policies, which limit cooperation between local police and federal police.

The DHS said it plans to ramp up efforts to identify and prosecute those behind the doxing campaigns on federal officers.

Local leaders and advocacy groups have not yet responded publicly to the claims made in the DHS statement,
