Zac Brown is making cruise ship history with his new Margaritaville at Sea venue!
The three-time Grammy award winner, 47, is teaming up with the cruise line to debut the first artist-curated music venue at sea called Same Boat — a nod to Zac Brown Band’s 2021 hit of the same name featuring Jimmy Buffett.
Cruisers can look forward to experiencing the unique venue on the cruise line’s new Beachcomber ship — the largest ship in its fleet — set to make its inaugural sailing in January 2027 from Miami.
Same Boat, the largest live music venue on the new ship, will be a hub for cruisers to enjoy live music, cocktails and “front-row access to world-class performances,” per the release.

Brown is taking part in the curation process for “every detail” of the new space, including the artwork, design and music programming, according to the company. The venue will be a reflection of the Zac Brown Band frontman’s personal style as well as the band’s musical influences.
Of curating the space, Brown says he knew right off the bat that he didn’t want to just “design a room,” but rather create something that “truly captures the spirit of Margaritaville at Sea.”
“Designing Same Boat has been about bringing that easygoing energy that’s always guided my music to life,” he says. “Every detail reflects pieces of my own journey — from the stage to the sea — all coming together to create a place where people can connect, share a drink, listen to great music, and feel that incredible sense of freedom you only find at a show or out on the open water. That’s my kind of medicine.”

In honor of the partnership, the cruise line is launching the Fly & Float Ultimate Giveaway with Brown, which will give two fans the opportunity to see Zac Brown Band perform at their Las Vegas residency at the Sphere in January 2026. The giveaway prize will also include a spot on the Beachcomber’s first sailing in January 2027.

Ahead of his Las Vegas residency, Brown told PEOPLE exclusively that fans can expect to see a more intimate look at his own personal journey during the band’s residency shows in December and January.

“I’m telling my very personal story that I’ve never really told, of what drove me into music and how music’s been there to save my life over and over again,” he told PEOPLE in July. The band’s latest album, Love and Fear, is set to drop on the first day of the residency, Dec. 5, and will feature collaborations with music icons like Snoop Dogg and Dolly Parton.
Brown added that the series of shows are “something that people are not going to expect, and I love throwing people a good curve ball.”
