Yankees announce lineup for Thursday night game vs. Seattle

NEW YORK – In victories on Tuesday and Wednesday night, the Yankees have scored a combined 19 runs against Seattle Mariners pitching.

Thursday, the Yankees will go for a three-game sweep, sending Marcus Stroman (1-1, 7.45) to the mound against Seattle right-hander Bryan Wood (8-4, 2.77).

Paul Goldschmidt and Giancarlo Stanton are on the bench to begin Thursday night, with Ben Rice at first base and Aaron Judge getting a DH day. Jorbit Vivas is at third base and left fielder Jasson Dominguez leading off.

Stroman is coming off a no-decision against the Mets last Friday at Citi Field, when he tossed five innings and gave up three runs on seven hits, including a homer by Juan Soto.
