Dozens of grocery stores and restaurants on the DoorDash app in cities across the country appeared closed Wednesday morning as reports of outages spiked.
As of 7:15 a.m., Downdetector, which tracks outages and downtime across websites, more than 5,300 people across the U.S. reported problems with DoorDash, the grocery and food delivery service.
A map on Downdetector’s website showed major DoorDash outages in multiple cities, including St. Louis, Dallas, Detroit, Chicago, Pheonix, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Atlanta and New York.
In the Chicago area, as of 8 a.m., the DoorDash website showed some grocery stores and breakfast restaurants greyed out. Others were available for ordering.
Around 8 a.m., reports of DoorDash outages had fallen slightly, to around 4,700, according to Downdetector.
DoorDash did not immediately respond to NBC Chicago’s request for comment.
