Virginia men’s basketball plays Butler

G Malik Thomas:  12.4 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.8 APG, 40.9% 2FG, 36.0% 3FG, 94.4% FT

Thomas has started to find his groove for the Cavaliers. He has scored in double figures in four straight games and had his best game of the season vs Marshall. Thomas had 14 points and 5 rebounds on 3-11 shooting (1-4 from three) against NW. 

F Thijs De Ridder: 19.0 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 1.6 APG, 58.8% 2FG, 41.7% 3FG, 71.4% FT

De Ridder had 26 points, 8 rebounds, and one block. He shot 8-17 from the field (1-4 from three). De Ridder will be key for UVA against Butler, as he was a big reason UVA won against Northwestern.  

C Johann Grünloh: 9.2 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 1.2 APG, 70.8% 2FG, 10.0% 3FG, 47.4% FT

Grünloh struggled against Northwestern as he had 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. He also had 2 blocks. He shot 2-6 from the field and 1-3 from the free throw line. His defense will be needed on Sunday.
