Vitor Petrino was successful in his heavyweight debut at UFC on ESPN 70 with a one-sided showing against Austen Lane.
Petrino (12-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) put Lane (13-7 MMA, 1-4 UFC) on his back early in the first round of Saturday’s main card bout at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., then proceeded to threaten wth ground-and-pound and submission attempts until he locked in a rear-naked choke to get the tap at the 4:16 mark of Round 1.

“Now I’m moving up weight and I came here in this division to stay,” Petrino told Daniel Cormier through an interpreter in his post-fight interview. “He lost his (submission) virginity to me. My coaches gave me all the tools to be able to finish the fight.”
