Fresh off a come-from-ahead loss against the Arizona Wildcats last Friday night, the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team (3-1) returns to Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday night to host the Hornets of Sacramento State (3-2) (7:30 PM PT; B1G Network).
The Bruins dropped several spots in both the AP poll and the Coaches poll after that Arizona loss, with UCLA being #19 in the AP poll and #20 in the Coaches poll as of Monday.
Sac State, coached by former Arizona point guard, Mike Bibby, are another school in the “cupcake” category, although the Hornets are probably better than any team UCLA has yet faced (outside of Arizona). They have some players who could definitely hurt the Bruins, and Bibby has shown some coaching chops in his first five games in charge of a college team.
