LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The well beloved annual Fourth of July tradition, Salute from The Shore will once again be passing over the South Carolina coast with an array of impressive military planes on July 4th.
Beachgoers all the way from Cherry Grove to Beaufort will be able to spot F-16s, T- 34s, T-28s and more, as either volunteers or active-duty military members fly over the coast.
The following schedule details when F-16 planes will be passing over areas of the coast and residents can catch a glimpse of this rare spectacle.
- Cherry Grove: approx. pass over time – 1 p.m.
- Myrtle Beach: approx. pass over time – 1:03 p.m.
- Murrells Inlet: approx. pass over time – 1:04 p.m.
- Pawleys Island: approx. pass over time – 1:06 p.m.
- Isle of Palms: approx. pass over time – 1:15 p.m.
- Charleston Harbor: approx. pass over time – 1:16 p.m.
- Folly Beach: approx. pass over time – 1:20 p.m.
- Edisto Island: approx. pass over time – 1:24 p.m.
- Hilton Head Island/ Bluffton: approx. pass over time – 1:31 p.m.
- Beaufort: approx. pass over time – 1:35 p.m.

After the F-16 planes perform their flyover, they will be followed by the Warbird Flight which includes T- 34s, T-28s, and other planes weather permitting.
Below is the schedule for the Warbird flight.
- Cherry Grove: approx. pass over time – 1:10 p.m.
- Myrtle Beach: approx. pass over time – 1:12 p.m.
- Murrells Inlet: approx. pass over time – 1:15 p.m.
- Pawleys Island: approx. pass over time – 1:28 p.m.
- Isle of Palms: approx. pass over time – 1:50 p.m.
- Charleston Harbor: approx. pass over time – 1:52 p.m.
- Folly Beach: approx. pass over time – 1:55 p.m.
- Edisto Island: approx. pass over time – 2:10 p.m.
- Hilton Head Island/ Bluffton: approx. pass over time – 2:20 p.m.
- Beaufort: approx. pass over time – 2:35 p.m.
Unlike previous years however, according to the Salute from the Shore organization, there will be no C-17 planes this year as they have gone to answer the call of duty, and are off supporting real-world missions.
