Rain and storms overnight into Friday morning

AN AIR QUALITY ALERT WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 8AM TO 11PM FRIDAY FOR OZUAKEE, MILWAUKEE, RACINE, AND KENOSHA COUNTIES. ELEVATED LEVELS OF OZONE ARE EXPECTED TO BRING THE AIR QUALITY DOWN TO THE UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS CATEGORY.

Thursday evening will be pleasant as a lake breeze continues to sail inland. There is only a very small chance for a pop-up shower. Overnight, however, rain and storm chances will increase. After 2am, we will see scattered rain and storms moving in, and those will continue into Friday morning. Pockets of heavy rain, along with gusty winds will be possible with these thundershowers.

By lunchtime on Friday rain and storms will be moving out, and the rest of Friday will be dry. Temperatures will heat up as rain and clouds depart. With temperatures in the upper 80s and plenty of humidity, it will be a hot afternoon. Expect dry weather for 4th of July evening/night plans.
