Rain and storm chances increase; Flood Watch until 7 p.m. Sunday – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Unsettled weather has returned to North Texas with scattered rain and thunderstorms. While it won’t be a complete washout, some storms could produce heavy rain, leading to flooding problems.

A Flood Watch is posted for much of North Texas, including Dallas and Fort Worth, until 7 p.m. Sunday. Rain totals between 1-3″ are expected with locally higher amounts possible.

A storm or two could contain strong wind gusts but the overall severe weather outlook is low. Much of North Texas is included in a LEVEL 1 risk for severe storms into Sunday morning.
