Pistons injury report puts Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren questionable

The Detroit Pistons injury report is littered with key players.

The Pistons may be without Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren and more than half of their rotation when they host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Cunningham is listed as questionable with a left hip contusion on the NBA injury report. He suffered a hard fall late in the fourth quarter against the Washington Wizards Monday after Cam Whitmore fouled him during a dunk attempt. But after a brief trip to the locker room, Cunningham returned and played out the remainder of the quarter and overtime.

Duren (right ankle sprain) is also questionable. Both Duren and Cunningham have appeared in all 11 games thus far and are the team’s leading scorers during their 9-2 start, the franchise’s best in 20 years. Cunningham is averaging 27.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals.

Duren is averaging 19.4 points, 12 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals.

The Pistons have multiple players dealing with ankle sprains.

Isaiah Stewart (left ankle sprain) is doubtful after missing two-consecutive games.

Tobias Harris and Ausar Thompson, who both are nursing right ankle sprains, are out for Wednesday’s game. It will be Harris’ sixth straight absence and Thompson’s second.

Jaden Ivey is nearing his four-week re-evaluation date following arthroscopic surgery Oct. 16 on his right knee.

Marcus Sasser is at least three weeks away from his re-evaluation date as he rehabs a left hip impingement.
