Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq labeled a game-time decision ahead of Minnesota Golden Gophers game

The Oregon Ducks were left scrambling last week when wide receiver Dakorien Moore and tight end Kenyon Sadiq were ruled out shortly before game time. They still managed to pull out a victory, but it’s not ideal to lose key pieces of the game plan when it is already finalized.

Surely, Ducks coach Dan Lanning won’t be left flat-footed this week, which is beneficial because Sadiq is questionable again tonight against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Oregon could use his services against a stout defensive front that has caused issues for nearly every team they’ve faced.

Sadiq is arguably the best blocker in the country at his position, and it is a remarkable feat for that to be his calling card, considering he is also one of the most talented pass-catching tight ends as well. His status against Minnesota will be determined in a few hours after Pete Nakos reported that he will be a game-time decision.

Fortunately, Lanning revealed in a press conference earlier this week that he and his staff game plans for multiple scenarios, including one where players get knocked out early or right before kickoff. The Ducks’ chances of a win probably don’t entirely rely on Sadiq suiting up, but it would certainly be a welcome boost.
