Isaiah Jackson re-signs for 3 years, $21 million

Pacers team president Kevin Pritchard talks Myles Turner trade

Pacers team president Kevin Pritchard discusses future after the Myles Turner trade on Monday, July 7, 2025, in the Ascension St.. Vincent Center in Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS — Isaiah Jackson has agreed to a new three-year, $21 million contract with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told IndyStar on Friday. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the news first.

Jackson’s rookie-scale contract expired after the season. The Pacers made him a qualifying offer before the June 30 deadline, making him a restricted free agent. Keeping him in the fold is critical for the Pacers, who lost center Myles Turner to the Bucks earlier in the signing period. They also signed James Wiseman, traded for Memphis reserve Jay Huff and picked up the club option for Tony Bradley.

Jackson, listed at 6-9, 205 pounds played just five games this season before suffering a season-ending Achilles tendon tear in his right leg in a game against the Pelicans in New Orleans on Nov. 1. He averaged 7.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game before the injury and was shooting 60.9% from the floor.

In 2023-24 in a battle with Jalen Smith to be the Pacers’ backup center, Jackson averaged 6.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in just 13.1 minutes per game and shot a team-leading 66.5% from the floor. His per-36 minutes numbers — 17.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 blocks — were among the best on the team.

When healthy, Jackson was one of the Pacers’ best rim-runners, lob finishers, and energy providers off the bench, but he’s always been slight of build. He clearly added weight during his rehab from injury so that might change the dynamic of his game.
