The Darian DeVries era of Indiana Hoosiers basketball officially starts tonight in Bloomington against Alabama A&M. The Hoosiers welcome the SWAC school to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to open the 2025-26 season.

Indiana has an entirely new roster — all 13 scholarship players are different from last year. IU fans will need flashcards to learn the faces, and the Hoosiers hope tonight is an introductory experience more than a nail-biting game.

The new-look Hoosiers were predicted to finish tenth in the Big Ten by The Columbus Dispatch and Indianapolis Star media poll. In the 18-team league, a tenth-place finish would likely mean a .500 conference record.

Indiana narrowly missed the NCAA Tournament in Mike Woodson’s final year as the head coach last season, finishing 19-13 overall and 10-10 in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers made the NCAA Tournament in each of Woodson’s first two years before missing the last two.

Here are all the opening-night details against Alabama A&M.
