FKA twigs is giving North West her flowers.
In a cover story interview with Rolling Stone UK published on Nov. 20, the “Perfectly” singer, 37, opened up about her third studio album Eusexua, released in January 2025. The album featured appearances from the electronic musician Koreless, along with North, 12, who raps in Japanese on the track “Childlike Things.”
The artist told the outlet that working with North, who is the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, was a meaningful experience. The English singer first penned the track when she was 12 or 13 years old, and it was one of the first songs she ever wrote.

“I feel like she’s seen so much and she’s so mature in a lot of ways, especially emotionally,” twigs, whose real name is Tahlia Debrett Barnett, told Rolling Stone UK of North. “We went for a few dinners, and she said things that were big and profound. I felt taken aback by her observations of humility that were very on the nose and very true to the things that I’ve learned as an adult.”
The singer also told the outlet that writing the song was a full-circle moment in some ways.

“I was bullied at school and didn’t really have that really close girlfriendship, so ‘Childlike Things’ was healing — to give the child in me, who was a bit of a loner when I wrote that song, a tenacious, confident friend like North West, to come and hang out with,” she said.

North has appeared in other music collaborations this year, including Christian “King” Combs’ song “Lonely Roads.”
The artist has released three other studio albums throughout her career, including LP1, Magdalene and Eusexua Afterglow, a deluxe edition of Eusexua. The original record holds important meaning for the singer.

“When I listen to Eusexua now, every sound is like a crystallised piece of water; every sound is like ice,” she said of the record, according to the publication. “There’s something so precise about it because it’s the most distilled version of the message.”
“The point that I want to make with Eusexua now is that an idea can exist and be perfect at the time, but it’s OK for things to be mercurial and to develop and change,” she added.
