One of the most sought-after players in the class of 2026 is turning 17 this Friday. And to celebrate, he’s set to reveal his college choice live from Nike’s Peach Jam.
Jason Crowe Jr., the No. 5-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, will announce his college decision Friday (July 18) at 5:30 pm ET on CBS Sports HQ.
Crowe Jr. is a 6-foot-3 guard from Inglewood (Calif.).
Currently competing in the Peach Jam with his grassroots team, the Oakland Soldiers, Crowe Jr. has been handling his recruitment a bit differently than the typical highly ranked prospect.
To this point, Crowe Jr. has not taken any official visits, and despite offers from the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, UCLA, USC, Villanova, Washington and several others, Crowe Jr. has never publicized his offers.
As he prepares to reveal his decision, Crowe Jr. will do so without releasing a list of finalists. On Friday, it will come down to one school and one choice, the way he and his family have always wanted it to be.
Whoever lands Crowe Jr. is getting one of the most dynamic floor generals in all of high school basketball.
On pace to obliterate the all-time scoring record in California High School Basketball, Crowe Jr. has an array of skills that his far beyond his soon-to-be 17 years of age. He navigates high-ball screens with the polish of a seasoned veteran. He gets to the rim at will. He has all sorts of pull-ups and floaters in his bag, and he can get on runs from deep where he puts up points in a hurry.
While Crowe Jr. is a gifted scorer and has gained notoriety for his ability to get buckets, he is also an elite playmaker for others. He has tremendous vision and can pass his teammates open with the best of them when the time comes to set up others.
Currently ranked No. 5 overall in the 2026 class, Crowe projects as an instant impact guy for whichever school he chooses this Friday at 5:30 pm Eastern on CBS Sports HQ.
