Get up to speed with all previous Dexter seasons ahead of the Dexter: Resurrection July 11 premiere on Paramount+.
For those starting from the beginning, you’ve got Dexter (the original series), and Dexter: New Blood, to sink your teeth into (in that order), before watching Dexter: Resurrection. There’s also the prequel show Dexter: Original Sin, if you want some back story to the life of everyone’s favourite (fictional) serial killer. But if you’re all up to date, this is everything we can tell you about what’s coming next.
Who’s coming back?
It wouldn’t be Dexter without Michael C. Hall, and we can’t wait to see him back on our screens for another gripping chapter. Fans will also be pleased to hear that some of the show’s most iconic characters are returning, including James Remar as Dexter’s adoptive father Harry Morgan and David Zayas as fan-favourite Angel Batista. But be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some exciting new star-studded additions entering the fray including Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage! Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet and David Dastmalchian are also set to guest star, taking the drama to a new level…
What do we know so far?
Dexter: Resurrection picks up after Dexter’s near death experience at the hands of his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott). When he awakens from a coma to discover Harrison has vanished, Dexter sets out for New York City determined to put things right. But it’s not long before Dexter is lured back into a world of dark secrets, with a new host of powerful enemies to face. As father and son grapple with their complicated relationship and dark impulses, the drama unfolds.
Dexter: Resurrection will launch with a double episode premiere, followed by weekly drops.
