The incident on the M6 on 11 July
Motorists heading southbound on the M6 from Preston are experiencing long delays from Leyland onwards.
A crash on the M6 northbound between Junction 26 (Skelmersdale) and Junction 27 (Standish) is causing severe congestion.
Traffic England is reporting there are delays of at least 20 minutes from Junction 29 (Bamber Bridge) on the southbound side due to slow traffic past the scene of the crash.

The crash at Junction 26 northbound involves three vans and a car and one lane remains closed with delays of more than an hour – and not expected to clear until at least 8pm on Friday (11 July).
Elsewhere, there are some delays on the M65 eastbound heading towards Walton Summit and minor delays heading southbound on the M6 around junction 31 and 31A.
