Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Directors have said they are delighted to announce the new partnership with company Aerial Ashes.
Aerial Ashes uses drones to scatter ashes of the departed at ‘meaningful locations’, and claims to offer families “a truly unique, dignified and innovative way to say goodbye to their loved ones”.
This collaboration brings together two companies that ‘share a deep commitment to care, dignity, and personalisation in funeral services’, they added.
“We’re honoured to work with Jill and her dedicated team,” said Matt Young, managing director of Aerial Ashes.
“This partnership allows us to provide even more families with the opportunity to commemorate a life in a way that is beautiful, meaningful, and completely personal.”
Aerial Ashes ceremonies are carried out using ‘professional-grade’ drones, offering what they describe as a clean, graceful scattering that ‘avoids many of the challenges associated with traditional methods’.
Each service can be tailored to reflect the individual’s personality, passions and favourite place, they add.
“We are always looking at new ideas and things to help families with a unique farewell,” said Ms Glencross. “Although not for everyone, for some people they genuinely love the idea.”
This partnership is now live, with bookings available from Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Directors for Summer and Autumn 2025.
