COLUMBIA — Last year quarterback LaNorris Sellers made a name for himself among South Carolina fans, but now there’s another Sellers brother trying to do the same.
Jayden Sellers is the younger brother of LaNorris Sellers and a freshman wide receiver at South Carolina.
He had four catches for 127 yards in the 51-7 win over Coastal Carolina, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown on the first play of the game. That was his first touchdown catch with the Gamecocks.
According to South Carolina, Sellers’ yardage was the fifth-highest total for a freshman, joining a list of notable former Gamecocks like Super Bowl champions Sidney Rice and Alshon Jeffery (161 and 138) and NFL draft pick Marcus Lattimore.
