Anna Kendrick is hitting the town with her man!
The actress and director, 39, and her boyfriend, comedian Alex Edelman, were spotted out and about together in Burbank, Calif., on Saturday, July 12 — less than a week after a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the entertainers have been dating “for several months.”
The Pitch Perfect alum and Emmy-winning comedian, 36, were seen grabbing takeout from Burbank fixture Porto’s Bakery before hitting up a different store. On the outing, the couple was photographed walking together side-by-side, chatting and smiling.
Both Kendrick and Edelman kept things casual on the Burbank outing in jeans, white T-shirts and sneakers. The Another Simple Favor actress also sported a pair of sunglasses and a black crossbody bag.

Earlier in July, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Kendrick and the comedian “have been dating for several months.” The news came after photos surfaced of the couple in a car together in Los Angeles.
Elaborating on their relationship, the insider told PEOPLE that Kendrick has met Edelman’s mom, and the stars celebrated the comedian’s birthday together in March.
“It doesn’t seem casual,” the source added of the stars’ relationship. “Anna’s very private, though. They enjoy date night at low-key restaurants that are not your typical celeb hangouts.”
Previously, Kendrick dated Edgar Wright — director of 2010’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which the actress starred in — from 2009 to 2013, and cinematographer Ben Richardson from 2014 to 2020.
More recently, the actress was linked to Bill Hader, whom she began dating in 2020. A source told PEOPLE in January 2022 that Kendrick and Hader, 47, had been “quietly” seeing each other for more than a year. At the time, the source added that they didn’t strike up a romance until “well after” they wrapped filming their 2019 holiday movie Noelle, in which they play siblings.

Kendrick and Hader broke up in June 2022 after over a year together, Entertainment Tonight first reported at the time. Reps for both actors declined to comment.

The Twilight alum, who is generally private about her relationships, recently opened up about getting out of an abusive relationship in her past while appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
While she didn’t name the ex she was referring to, the Woman of the Hour director said in the October 2024 episode that she found it “difficult to identify” that she was in an abusive relationship at first, because “it didn’t follow the traditional pattern.”
“I was reading all the articles and going, ‘Some of it looks like how they’re describing it, but not completely,” Kendrick said at the time.
