Julia Roberts’ and Andrew Garfield’s high-octane psychological thriller, “After the Hunt,” which sharply divided critics when it premiered earlier this year at the Venice Film Festival, is hitting streaming this week.
With plenty of merits and a good reputation, Yale philosophy professor Alma Imhoff (Roberts) is aiming to get tenure at the prestigious school when her young protégé Maggie (Ayo Edebiri) accuses Hank (Garfield), Alma’s close friend and fellow professor, of sexual assault. Torn between loyalties, Alma’s life soon begins to spiral as she desperately tries to keep one of her own secrets hidden.

“After the Hunt,” directed by Luca Guadagnino, will be available to stream on Prime Video on Thursday, Nov. 20, the streamer announced on social media. New content typically releases on the streaming platform at 3:01 a.m. ET / 12:01 a.m. PT.
