A serious crash has left a section of the A63 in Hull closed, with motorists warned to expect delays.
National Highways said the road was closed in both directions between the Ferensway junction and St Andrews Quay.
Humberside Police and Yorkshire Ambulance crews were at the scene, with the road expected to remain closed for several hours, a spokesperson said.
Police have advised drivers to find an alternative route “to allow emergency services to work safely”.
