Service on the 7 train was partly suspended during the Wednesday morning commute between Manhattan and Queens after a train’s brakes were unexpectedly activated.

The MTA said the line was not running between 34th Street-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza. The train disrupting service had its brakes engaged near Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue in Long Island City.

That suspension began during the morning rush and wasn’t lifted until around 5:30 p.m., according to the MTA.
