6 Emmerdale spoilers as Nate’s killer confesses and Mack offers Charity an ultimatum

Things are continuing to worsen for some of the villagers

Unfortunately for the current residents of Yorkshire’s busiest village, Emmerdale is full to the brim of more chaos, drama and unexpected twists.

Nate Robinson’s funeral took place after his body was finally found nine months after John Sugden accidentally killed him. While the villagers are seemingly blaming everyone but the real culprit, are things closing in for John?

Joe Tate had the shock of his life when his former partner in crime, Dr Crowley, came back for more – this time for Joe’s money not another kidney heist.

Not only that, but Kim Tate is yet to learn who her new partner “Eddie” is. Unaware that “creepy Crowley” is the one by her side.

Nate’s killer is found…

When Liam makes a return visit to Owen’s home he is concerned by the lack of response so calls the police who arrive and soon confirm Owen’s death.

DS Walsh shows Liam a written confession on Owen’s laptop – it looks like John’s dastardly plan is working perfectly. DS Walsh arrives to tell Cain and Tracy they have found a ‘suicide note’ confessing to Nates death. Cain and Tracy struggle to digest this information.

Back at the surgery, John acts suitably shocked when Liam relays the news of Owen’s confession and death.

Robert Sugden is suspicious…

Later Liam and John reveal the news that this man had confessed to Nate’s murder. Robert is shaken by the coincidence and suspicions about John are piqued, The next day, DC Cole arrives at the surgery wanting more information about Owen’s medical history. Seeing DC Cole leaving the surgery, Robert tries to figure out what’s going on.

Claudette lets slip that John had been to Owen’s house shortly before he died and Robert is buoyed by this new information. Before long, Robert arranges to meet Owen’s brother, Steve and is shocked Owen had a solid alibi for the date Nate was murdered. Before long, Robert arrives at the police station, claiming to have new information about Nate’s murder.

Mackenzie offers Charity Dingle an ultimatum…

As Charity made the sudden decision to carry Sarah Sugden’s baby, Pollard can’t resist telling Mack that Charity has offered to be Sarah’s surrogate. Aghast, Mack heads to find out more and during an explosive argument, Charity defends her decision. Jacob’s astounded Pollard betrayed his trust. But Pollard stands firm warning Jacob he’s making a huge mistake.

As Jacob rails at his grandad, Sarah accuses Eric of having a problem with her gran, but Pollard admits his true concern is her shortened life expectancy. Mack meanwhile is gutted by Charity’s eagerness to carry Sarah’s baby but not his. Unable to agree, the pair are upset. Later that afternoon, Charity receives word that the clinic will try to inseminate.

When Sarah worries about the issues this may cause between Charity and Mack, determined Charity assures her she’ll be able to talk him around. But exasperated, Mack gives Charity an ultimatum: it’s the surrogacy or their marriage.

Cain Dingle and John Sugden both search desperately…

John arrives hoping to see an improvement in Cain after the news about Owen but kicks himself when he sees Cain is still in turmoil. Cain bombards Liam with questions about Owen but when Liam refuses to breach patient confidentiality, Cain loses his rag with his friend.

Liam recounts to John his interaction with Cain and describes the harrowing effect of losing a child, John’s overwhelmed with guilt Owen’s ‘confession’ has robbed Cain of getting justice. A guilt-ridden John reaches out to the helpline and strikes up a conversation with his usual volunteer. He’s torn when the volunteer suggests they call rather than message.

Kim Tate’s motives cause a stir…

Robert is set to covertly meet Kim behind Moira’s back to sign over Annie’s Field. But Kim reiterates to Joe no one can find out their plans. Robert detects desperation from Kim so refuses to sign leaving Kim annoyed. As he surveys Annie’s Field, Robert tries to figure out why Kim is so interested in that specific patch of land.

Moira is full of dread when Noel, from the water company arrives to tell her the appeal has been turned down. She feels she may lose Butler’s farm for good. Kim heads off to Dubai, leaving her grand plan in Joe’s hands.

When he hears about Moira’s troubles, he reiterates Kim’s offer to buy the farm. Moira’s left with a difficult decision to make but Cain promises to stand by her whatever she decides.

April and Marlon disagree about going back to college(Image: ITV)

Elsewhere in the village…

Paddy explains to Marlon he’s volunteering on a crisis helpline. April confesses to Marlon how much she’s loving working at Take a Vow. He wants her to return to college but April has other plans…
