The annual holiday, which takes place on Friday, July 11, offers fry lovers the opportunity to score some tempting deals on their favorite salty treat.
This year, restaurants and brands are rolling out a mix of freebies and steep discounts. There’s even a giveaway on a new fry-crusted pizza.
Now that you’re sufficiently hungry, it’s time to get to the best part — the deals that we’re ready to chase down this week.
Arby’s
Through Aug. 10, Arby’s rewards members who buy a Cheesesteak online will score a free order of fries (any size) on their next visit. The freebie is valid for seven days.
Beef ‘O’ Brady’s
Beef ‘O‘ Brady’s customers can save 50% off a basket of fries on July 11 at participating locations. The single-use offer can’t be combined with other deals.
Burger King
Royal Perks rewards members can get a free order of fries of any size with a purchase of $1 or more. The offer is good once per week for a limited time.
Carl’s Jr.
In honor of the holiday, Carl’s Jr. rewards members can get a free large order of fries or waffle fries with any purchase. The single-use offer can be redeemed in the chain’s app, website or in-restaurant at participating locations and can’t be combined with other deals.
Checkers & Rally’s
On July 11, Checkers & Rally’s customers who purchase fries at a competitor restaurant then bring in the receipt can get a free large order of Famous Seasoned Fries at participating locations. There’s no additional purchase necessary. The single-use offer is available in-restaurant while supplies last.
DoorDash
DoorDash DashPass members can take advantage of a buy-one, get-one-free offer on Chicken Fries at Burger King on July 11.
Fatburger
Between July 9 — 13, participating Fatburger locations will give customers a free order of Fat or Skinny Fries when they purchase any burger or sandwich online using the code FRYDAY25.
Good Times
Good Times customers can get a free small order of crinkle-cut fries on July 11 while dining in between 10:30 a.m. — 10 p.m. The single-use order is available while supplies last.
Hardee’s
Hardee’s rewards members who spend $5 or more on July 11 will score a Fry Pass that entitles them to a free order of fries (any size) with purchase. The pass is valid daily through Dec. 31 at participating locations and can’t be combined with other discounts.
Huey Magoo’s
Huey Magoo’s customers can get an extra side of crinkle-cut fries with a $10 purchase on July 11.
Jack in the Box
On July 11, Jack in the Box customers can score a free order of fries with any order.
Lion’s Choice
Lion’s Choice app users can get a free order of fries with any purchase on the holiday.
McDonald’s
As an ongoing deal, you can get a free medium order of fries with any purchase of $1 or more in the McDonald’s app every Friday through Dec. 26, 2025. And this week, the chain is upping the ante on the offer by allowing customers to get one additional free medium order with a $1 minimum purchase in the app through Sunday, July 13.
Miami Grill
On July 11, Miami Grill customers can order a regular order of fries for 99 cents with any purchase. The offer is valid for dine-in and pickup at participating locations.
Penn Station East Coast Subs
Penn Station East Coast Subs customers who buy a small Penn Station sub or larger can score a free small order of fries between July 11 — 13.
Red Robin
On National French Fry Day and every other day, Red Robincustomers can enjoy bottomless fries, aka all the refills they can eat.
Sheetz
Between July 11 — 13, Sheetz app users can get one free bag of fries while ordering in the app.

Smashburger customers can get a free order of fries with any $1+ purchase on July 11. The offer can be redeemed in-store, online and in the chain’s app using the code FRYDAY25.

On National French Fry Day, Sonic customers can get a free medium order of tots or fries with any purchase.
Taco Cabana
Participating Taco Cabana locations are offering a buy-one, get-one-free deal on Loaded Fries on July 11.

To celebrate the release of its new French Fry Style Crust Pizza, Tombstone is giving customers the opportunity to win a free pizza between July 11 — 25. To enter, visit www.tombstone.com/frenchfrysweeps.
The brand is releasing two new pizzas featuring a potato crust that’s fried and baked:
- Tombstone French Fry Style Crust Pizza — Loaded Bacon Cheddar: Features a potato crust, a cheddar cheese sauce and a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses plus a bacon and pork belly blend.

Wendy’s is celebrating the finger food’s holiday by offering customers a free any-size Hot & Crispy Fries with purchase, available as a digital offer only in its app.
But it’s not stopping there: From now until the end of 2025, Wendy’s is offering free fries every Friday — which means 25 more opportunities to snag the deal this year.
Whataburger
Between 11 a.m. — 8 p.m. on July 11, Whataburger customers can get a medium order of fries for 75 cents while ordering in the chain’s website or app.
White Castle
Between July 11 — 13, White Castle customers can score a free order of cheese fries with any order using the code CHEESY.
