Broncos Mock Chiefs with Taylor Swift Hit Blaring Across Stadium Following Unexpected Upset

The Denver Broncos have not defeated the Kansas City Chiefs since 2015, but they finally ended the 16-game losing streak with a 22-9 victory on Sunday. As a playful jab at star tight end Travis Kelce, the Broncos chose to blast Taylor Swift’s 2014 hit “Shake It Off” inside Empower Field at Mile High, and videos of this moment were shared on social media by fans.

The rest of the Chiefs’ offense did not fare much better. They only managed to score three field goals, failed to convert any red zone opportunities, and turned the ball over four times. The team also struggled on third downs, converting only 3 out of 10 attempts.

“It’s the worst I’ve felt walking out of the stadium,” said quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who had been dealing with an illness leading up to the game.

“It’s a great environment and I actually have a lot of fun playing here. They love the game, they know the game. But it is what it is. They beat us. They were the better football team today and I give them their props,” Mahomes added.

The Broncos put an end to the Chiefs’ six-game winning streak, but unfortunately, Swift was not present to witness the Chiefs’ defeat. Reports indicate that she was expected to be absent in Denver as she prepares for “The Eras Tour.”
