5 New Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix This Holiday Season

Nothing says “holiday magic” like curling up on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and a festive film — and this season, Netflix is unwrapping five brand-new ones.

This November and December, the streamer is premiering a series of new Christmas movies that serve up all the cozy holiday traditions — think snow and small-town charm — with a few merry twists.

From the sparks flying between exes in A Merry Little Ex-Mas to a festive transformation in My Secret Santa, these holiday movies are guaranteed to sleigh your seasonal watchlist.

Plus, Netflix’s holiday lineup is also star-studded, featuring Clueless’ Alicia Silverstone, Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge and fan favorites like Oliver Hudson and Tia Mowry.

Here’s everything to know about the new Christmas movies coming to Netflix in 2025.

Kate (Silverstone) and Everett (Hudson) are navigating one last Christmas together before their divorce is finalized — but nothing goes as planned in A Merry Little Ex-Mas, which hit Netflix on Nov. 12.

Kate, an eco-conscious architect, hopes for a cozy, traditional holiday, while Everett shakes things up by showing up with his glamorous new girlfriend, Tess (Jameela Jamil). To further stir the pot, Kate brings home a much younger gentleman suitor, Chet (Pierson Fode).

As old feelings resurface and holiday mishaps abound, both Kate and Everett must confront what they truly want — and whether their love might deserve a second chance.

Subsequently, Sydney must balance her professional goals with her growing feelings — all while navigating competition from other potential buyers and the family legacy behind the bubbly empire.

After hatching a bold plan to pull off a festive heist, Sophia and Nick are forced into an uneasy partnership. But as they devise their scheme, their feelings for one another deepen. With the stakes high and the holiday magic all around, Sophia and Nick must decide: pull off the perfect crime or risk it all for something even more valuable.

But keeping the secret isn’t easy. Taylor’s boss, Natasha (Mowry), begins questioning Hugh Mann’s credentials, while Taylor finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Matthew (Ryan Eggold), the charming son of the resort owner. As she juggles her growing feelings, the pressures of the holiday rush and the challenge of keeping her Santa persona under wraps, Taylor discovers the true magic of the season.
