At least 2 high-rise warehouses in downtown St. Louis are on fire Friday morning.

ST. LOUIS — At least two large warehouses are on fire in downtown St. Louis on Friday morning near 2nd and Gratoit near the river, according to video taken by a 5 On Your Side photographer and multiple live camera views from MDOT.

The fire can be seen from I-44 in downtown St. Louis. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is controlling traffic at numerous locations, including:

  • 4th Street and Gratiot Street
  • 4th Street and Lombard Street
  • Broadway and Chouteau Avenue

5 On Your Side Reporter Reagan Di Trolio was at the scene right near I-44 at 5 a.m., where a massive plume of smoke drifted over the roadway. A large portion of the warehouse has since collapsed, and preliminary reports indicate that one person was found inside the warehouse and evacuated.
