“This is a sacred night.” “This is good versus evil!” RLJE Fiilms & Shudder have revealed the first official trailer for Night Patrol, an indie vampire thriller from filmmaker Ryan Prows as his second feature. This already premiered at Fantastic Fest & Beyond Fest recently and will hit theaters starting in January 2026. An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in. Turns out they’re vampires! This trailer makes the reveal, too. From Fantastic Fest: “Although Night Patrol is wild, it’s undeniably a politically charged dive into the underbelly of the LA police force. Festival alumnus Ryan Prows’s second feature is both fun and savage. The entire cast delivers top-notch performances, and FF’s good friend Justin Long is impeccable as Hawkins, the legacy recruit into Night Patrol.” The film stars Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux. Looks a bit like a gritty & modern twist on The Lost Boys.

Here’s the main official trailer (+ poster) for Ryan Prows’ thriller Night Patrol, direct from YouTube:

Via FF: “Carr, an LAPD officer with past ties to gang life, returns to duty in his old neighborhood. While partnered with Hawkins, Carr reconnects with his brother Wazi, who just witnessed the brutal murder of his girlfriend. Under pressure, Wazi claims the Night Patrol is responsible. The accusation makes him a target, and Hawkins is sent to kill him as part of his initiation. After Hawkins spares Wazi, choosing to deliver a warning before walking away, he’s summoned to a remote warehouse for his formal induction into the Night Patrol—where the terrifying truth behind the task force and its grip on the community is finally revealed. Wazi, Carr, their mother, and local gang leaders join forces to fight the malevolent task force…Night Patrol is directed by American genre writer / filmmaker Ryan Prows, director of the film Lowlife and the “Terror” segment in V/H/S/94 previously, plus many other short films. The screenplay is written by Ryan Prows, Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo, and Jake Gibson. Produced by Josh Goldbloom, David S. Goyer, Narineh Hacopian, James Harris, Mark Lane, Keith Levine. This initially premiered at Fantastic Fest & Beyond Fest 2025 this fall. RLJE Fiilms & Shudder debut Prows’ Night Patrol vamp movie in select US theaters starting January 16th, 2026 early next year. And also on Shudder later in 2026. Who’s down?
