CRACKER Barrel has confirmed that it will be open for business on Thanksgiving Day this month, despite Olive Garden’s closure announcement.
A new post on Cracker Barrel‘s website assures Americans that the popular chain will keep its normal opening hours for the holiday.

Traditional meals will be available from 11 am as normal.
Other restaurants that have announced they will stay open include:
- Capital Grille
- Eddie V’s
- Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse
- Fogo de Chao
- IHOP
- Maggiano’s Little Italy
- Romano’s Macaroni Grill
- Ruth’s Chris Steak House
- Seasons 52
- Waffle House
- Yard House
But, as one of the major federal holidays, many restaurants, as well as retailers and banks close on Thanksgiving to observe the occasion.

Several major restaurant chains have announced whether they will be open for Thanksgiving, which falls on November 27.
Olive Garden told diners last month that it would close its doors to allow its employees to spend time with their families.
At the start of the month, Outback Steakhouse confirmed that it would be closed for Thanksgiving, for example.
Diners also won’t be able to get into Red Robin, Chuy’s, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
This also goes for Bonefish Grill, Cheesecake Factory, and Texas Roadhouse.
BANK CLOSURE
Major banks including Capital One, Wells Fargo and Bank of America, will be closed for Thanksgiving, too.
This is because most banks observe the Standard Federal Reserve Bank Holiday Schedule.
To avoid delay, Americans will need to work around the closure, and make sure to sort any important business before Thanksgiving.
If you need to speak to a bank teller soon, you should make sure to do this before the closure.
The websites and mobile apps for these banks should still be working, and ATMs will also be unaffected.

STORE CLOSURES
Stores like Barnes & Noble, Big Lots, Publix and Nordstrom have said that they will be closed entirely for Thanksgiving.
But some stores, like Big Lots, will be holding special store opening times for Thanksgiving.
According to The Holiday Hours, Big Lots will be open from 7 am to midnight on turkey day.
The chain is normally open from 9 am to 8 pm during the week.
To check if your local store is holding extended holiday hours, you can use the respective store locator online.
Stores that will be open for Thanksgiving as normal include CVS, Walgreens, Dollar General and Kmart.

There are also a few grocery options still on the table for November 27.
