CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Charleston Police Department has released additional information about a College of Charleston student who went missing on the early-morning hours of Halloween.
Officers say 19-year-old Owen Tillman Kenney was last seen by friends near King Street and Burns Lanes at about 2 a.m. Friday.
. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, light-colored pants, and black Nike sneakers with white soles, despite initial reports of him wearing a Boston Celtics jersey. His phone’s last recorded location was on the Ravenel Bridge around that time, detectives confirmed.(Charleston Police Department)
He was last seen walking alone onto the Ravenel Bridge pedestrian walkway shortly after 3 a.m. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, light-colored pants, and black Nike sneakers with white soles, despite initial reports of him wearing a Boston Celtics jersey. His phone’s last recorded location was on the Ravenel Bridge around that time, detectives confirmed.
The Underwater Recovery Team, Harbor Patrol, K9 units and Unmanned Aerial System Team all assisted in the search for Kenney, along with support from the Carolina K9 Search and Rescue of Anderson, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit.
He stands at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 155 pounds.
