Smith, 24, is accused of hitting and killing 77-year-old Dorothy “Dot” Dobbins in a crosswalk on June 8.
The country singer reportedly failed to yield at the 3rd Avenue crosswalk.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said Smith showed no signs of impairment or distracted driving at the time of the crash.

Conner Smith has been charged with failure to yield resulting in a fatality, according to MNPD.
MNPD said Smith was charged with failure to yield the right of way resulting in death, which is a Class A misdemeanor.
“His thoughts remain with Ms. Dobbins’ family, and he remains committed to honoring her memory with compassion by supporting efforts to improve pedestrian safety and help prevent future tragedies,” Robinson told WSMV.
Following the deadly incident, the Germantown community has pushed for more safety measures to be added to Nashville crosswalks.
