Vin Diesel and Michael Caine are enjoying quality time together.
On Wednesday, July 9, Diesel, 57, and Caine, 92, were photographed at a dinner in London. Diesel, who wore a blue polo shirt, sunglasses and sneakers, pushed Caine in a wheelchair at the gathering.
Diesel and Caine, who retired from acting in 2023, costarred in the 2015 movie The Last Witch Hunter, a fantasy film with Diesel as a hero named Kaulder.
Caine wrote of his long-standing friendship with Diesel in his memoir Don’t Look Back, You’ll Trip Over: My Guide to Life. The two-time Oscar winner wrote in his memoir that he and Diesel “first met at a dinner party about 30 years ago” and that he “just liked the guy immediately,” according to an excerpt published by Entertainment Weekly in March.
“It turned out he was going through some tough times back then, so I think perhaps it made an impression upon him to be embraced and treated with love,” Caine wrote in the book. “Anyway, we’ve been great friends ever since.”

Diesel recently wrote of his friendship with Caine in a June 30 Instagram post alongside a photo of the two posing together.
“Filming The Last Witch Hunter with Michael was such a dream come true. The response from people discovering it now is surreal — getting to work alongside one of my dearest friends and seeing people connect with that story years later… That’s really the magic of this business,” Diesel wrote in that caption, as he noted that he and Caine “have been close friends for decades.”

“He came into my life after I had lost a childhood friend who became a New York City police officer and lost his life in the line of duty — one of my personal reasons for filming that infamous New York detective,” Diesel added. “Somehow Michael’s friendship was healing and loving, and I’ve been blessed to have him in my life.”
In that post, Diesel also revealed that he and Caine “started working on an independent project called Mark and Maurice” over a year ago. “I can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to,” he wrote.
