Morgan Gibbs-White has agreed personal terms with Manchester City, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League giants have been working behind the scenes on a deal for the Nottingham Forest playmaker.
There is no agreement yet between the clubs, but Gibbs-White is believed to have made up his mind on joining City.
Discussions have already been held over terms and a framework agreement is in place on a contract.
Forest are reluctant to sell Gibbs-White as well as Anthony Elanga in the same window but financial constraints mean they are likely to do so.
Elanga has agreed to join Newcastle United for £55million plus add-ons, and now his attacking midfielder teammate is expected to join him through the exit door.

Man City close in on signing of ‘flattered’ Gibbs-White
Back in May, Football Insider revealed that Forest may be powerless to keep Gibbs-White if Man City come calling as the 25-year-old is “flattered” by the interest.
Nuno Espirito Santo has always privately maintained to retain the services of the 25-year-old, who has been a key player for him during his time in charge.
Gibbs-White had a stellar 2024-25 campaign for Forest as they secured an against-the-odds seventh place Premier League finish.
He started all 34 of his Premier League matches, scoring seven goals and supplying 10 assists from an advanced midfield position.
City have already brought in the likes of Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki this summer, and agreeing a deal for the Forest star would add yet more firepower to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

‘Man City open talks to sell Nico Gonzalez’
Meanwhile, Nico Gonzalez’s agent has reportedly been speaking to a number of clubs about a move away from Man City as the club are open to his exit this summer.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that City are inviting offers for the 23-year-old just six months after his arrival.
Preliminary talks have already begun with a number of potential suitors, as clubs assess what it might take to sign the former Porto star this summer.
This comes after Guardiola made it clear he wants to trim his squad this summer, with Gonzalez among a number of players the boss is open to letting go.
