TCA Awards 2025 Nominations: ‘Severance,’ ‘Adolesence Tops List

The Television Critics Association has announced nominees for its 41st annual TCA Awards — and leading the pack is Apple TV+’s “Severance,” which earned five nominations. After that, earning four nods each were Netflix’s “Adolescence,” HBO Max’s “The Pitt” and “Hacks,” and Apple TV+’s “The Studio.”

Nominations were voted on by the 235 members of the TV Critics Assn. earlier this summer. Because the TCA summer press tour was canceled, there will also be no in-person TCA Awards ceremony this year. Instead, winners will be announced later this summer in a virtual manner, via the TCA’s social media.

Nominees were chosen out of any show that was distributed on major broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025.

The TCA’s 12 categories this year include drama, comedy, miniseries, news and information, reality, variety, sketch or talk shows. Nominees for the top prize, TCA’s Program of the Year award, include “Adolescence,” “Andor,” ‘Hacks,” “The Pitt,” “The Rehearsal,” “Severance,” “The Studio” and “The White Lotus.”

Besides Program of the Year, the five nods for “Severance” also include Outstanding Achievement in Drama, as well as Individual Achievement in Drama nods for stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman.

The TCA will reveal this year’s Career Achievement and Heritage Award winners later this summer.

“With these nominations, we honor the art of television and the artists who create it,” said TCA president Andy Dehnart, the founder and editor of reality blurred, said. “Our members independently selected these nominees, having championed these shows and in their writing, reporting, and criticism throughout the past year.”
