Penn State lost a member of its Class of 2026 on Wednesday evening. The Nittany Lions now have 24 players committed in the cycle.
Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek offensive lineman Roseby Lubintus flipped his commitment from Penn State to Syracuse, he announced on social media.
“I’m home,” Lubintus wrote on social media.
Lubintus is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. He’s ranked as the No. 11 player in New Jersey and the No. 41 offensive tackle in the country.
In the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Lubintus checks in as a three-star prospect, and he’s ranked as the No. 16 player in New Jersey, the No. 81 offensive tackle nationally and the No. 996 overall prospect in the class.
Lubintus, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 350 pounds, committed to Penn State on April 25, which was the night before the Blue-White Game. The Nittany Lions beat out Syracuse and Michigan State for Lubintus’ commitment. His other offers included West Virginia, Maryland, Rutgers, Florida, Boston College and Temple.
Penn State initially offered Lubintus in March 2024.
“For me, it’s a relief,” Lubintus told 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn at the time of his commitment. “Even though the work is just getting started for me, I am grateful for where I am at, 100 percent. I know there is a whole lot more to be done, but there is also a huge weight off of my shoulders from having to talk to all these coaches, and having to keep seeing which place would fit me most.”
Lubintus is Penn State’s third decommitment in the recruiting cycle. Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford decommitted in late February and remains uncommitted, while Nazareth (Pa.) quarterback Peyton Falzone, a Top247 prospect set to become just the second in-state signal-caller signed in the past 16 years, flipped to Auburn late last month.
Lubintus was a steady presence at Penn State in June as a participant in prospect camps. Lubintus worked under offensive line coach Phil Trautwein and alongside Penn State’s other offensive line commitments.
Currently, Penn State as XX offensive linemen committed in the Class of 2026: Harrisburg (Pa.) four-star Kevin Brown, Hendersonville (Tenn.) Beech three-star Jack Fuchs, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic three-star Marlen Bright and Novi (Mich.) Central Catholic three-star Benjamin Eziuka.
Bright is the newest member of the class after announcing his commitment last weekend, while Fuchs entered the fold June 27. Eziuka committed June 3 after impressing during a camp performance to begin the month.
Penn State’s class is ranked No. 15 by 247Sports currently.
Along the offensive line, Penn State is looking to follow up an impressive haul from its Class of 2025. In that cycle, Trautwein helped bring in Paramus (N.J.) Catholic five-star Malachi Goodman, Avon (Conn.) Old Farms four-star Owen Aliciene, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic three-star Michael Troutman and Pittsburgh (Pa.) North Catholic three-star Brady O’Hara.
Penn State opens the 2025 season against Nevada at Beaver Stadium on Aug. 30.
