He is expected to platoon with Rob Refsnyder at DH, with Yoshida starting against righthanders. His return further adds to a crowded outfield, as the Sox had been using Roman Anthony at DH as they attempted to also keep Jarren Duran, Wilyer Abreu, and Ceddanne Rafaela in the lineup.

The Red Sox will send Lucas Giolito to the mound for Wednesday’s finale. The righthander has gone at least six innings in each of his last five starts, going 4-0 with a 0.83 ERA.
