Reese Olson is expected to take the mound for the Tigers tonight in his return from injury. Olson has not pitched for Detroit since May due to right ring finger inflammation.
The Tigers took the first game of a doubleheader against the Nationals on Wednesday in an offensive explosion, 11-2, but lost the second game, 9-4. The Nationals then took the series victory on Thursday, 11-7.
Despite their recent series loss, the Tigers maintain a significant lead in the American League Central division, sitting 12.5 games ahead of both the Guardians and Minnesota Twins.
