In Vanderpump Villa Season 2, the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives visited Italy for Jen Affleck’s “last hurrah.” At the time, Jen was moving to Arizona for her husband Zac Affleck to attend medical school. They never went, but that’s another story.
Following their return to SLC, rumors began swirling about an alleged affair between Villa server Marciano Brunette and Demi Engemann. Now Zac is inserting himself into the drama, and he’s got audio receipts.

During the Mormon Wives reunion, which began streaming July 1, Zac and Jen Affleck clarified her falling out with Demi. They also brought up how Marciano played a role in it.
According to Zac, he and Jen were in the car when Demi and her husband Bret Engemann called. “Bret said, ‘Hey, we really need to figure out [Demi’s] whole victim [narrative]’ … I think he was afraid that she was gonna claim victim, and it was gonna be clear to the whole audience that she was not a victim,” he explained. “I’m like, ‘I’m gonna press record’ … ‘To cover our own backs, we’re just gonna get the receipt on this.’”
Before the premiere of Season 2, speculation swirled that something had happened in Italy between Demi and Marciano, which Demi adamantly denied.
“Nothing happened with Marciano,” she told Us Weekly. “I had a rock on my finger [and] brought up my marriage multiple times … It sucks that we couldn’t just go and have a good time and that he couldn’t respect that.”
For his part, Marciano stands firm that whatever took place between him and Demi was consensual. Though her costars are unconvinced of her innocence, with Zac even playing parts of another recorded conversation between him, Jen and Demi.
Unfortunately, Demi missed the reunion due to a previously scheduled family trip to Disneyland that conflicted with the reunion date.
