Americans planning to use in-person banking services over at Wells Fargo will likewise be out of luck due to the mass closures.

The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the country and regulates banking operations.
It shuts down on federal holidays and most banks follow suit.
For this reason, most major banks will shut down for 24 hours this Friday in honor of Independence Day – a federal holiday that celebrates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
Chase customers, for example, can expect the banking giant to shut down all of its roughly 4,700 locations in the coming days.
Bank of America will also participate in the nationwide closures, temporarily closing the doors at its 3,700 US branches.
Americans will be unable to turn to Wells Fargo as well, as the financial institution is plotting to give its employees the day off on the Fourth of July.
Consumers will still have access to online banking services this Friday, although transactions may not be processed until the next business day.
ATMs will also be available when the federal holiday rolls around.
CLOSURE CHAOS
Beyond the banking sector, a number of other institutions and services may be impacted by Independence Day.
For example, USPS, UPS, and FedEx will have modified services.

These mailing companies will not deliver or pick up regular mail or packages on Independence Day.
However, USPS Priority Mail Express is delivered every day of the year, including on holidays.
Online services such as purchasing stamps, printing labels, and requesting package pickups are available 24/7 at USPS.com.
Federal offices and the stock market will be closed on the Fourth of July, and retailers will likewise be impacted on Friday.

Costco, for example, will shutter all of its roughly 630 warehouses for 24 hours, and rival Sam’s Club will close two hours early in honor of July 4th.
Retail giants Walmart and Target, on the other hand, will experience no disruptions to their hours on the upcoming federal holiday.
A number of other popular retailers will likewise remain open as normal on Independence Day, including:

- Best Buy
- Big Lots
- BJ’s Wholesale Club
- CVS
- Kohl’s
- Dollar General
- JCPenney
- Lowe’s
- Macy’s
- Publix
However, some chains may tweak their hours on the Fourth of July in order to provide employees time to celebrate the holiday.
Starbucks may adjust its hours on Independence Day at select locations while others may shut down for the day.
Trader Joe’s is also planning to change up its schedule, closing all 600 locations early at 5 pm.
Other shops are showing their patriotic spirit by hosting deals and steals for the Fourth of July.
